At 10,000 watts, NewsTalk1200 WXIT is the most powerful AM radio station in the area. Broadcasting from a transmitter and tower in Blowing Rock, our coverage area includes:
An affiliate of ABC news, WXIT features The SportsPage, with Jeff "The Ref" Fancher weekday mornings from 9 to noon. From noon to 3 pm weekdays it's the number one rated radio talk show in the country, The Rush Limbaugh Program. That's followed by the second ranked talk show in the nation, The Sean Hannity Show from 3 to 6 pm. Saturday mornings feature The High Country Homebuilder, with local building contractor David Scott from 8 to 10 am. Then from 10 am to noon on Saturdays, it's The Culver Brothers Car Clinic, with David and Tommy Culver. That's followed by The Young World Radio Show from noon to 1 pm.
